Une date à marquer d'une pierre blanche, j'ai fini un projet annoncé ! Avec Katrina-Karlotta von Vidocq, ma bande de répurgateurs pour Mordheim est finie, du moins en son état au début de la campagne que nous jouons au club. Actuellement la bande compte un chien de moins, un hobbit et 2 flagellants en plus.
Une râlerie maintenant, le vernis mat Army Painter aurait vraiment pu s'appeler Army Waster comme les photos de ma capitaine-répurgatrice pourront vous le confirmer. Et non, l'aspect graineux n'est pas un problème de sous-couche, je vous expliquerai pourquoi plus loin.

A date to be remembered, I've finished an heralded project ! With Katrina-Karlotta von Vidocq, my Mordheim witchhunters warband is completed, as it started the campaign we are playing  in my club. Presently the warband is one dog less, one hobbit and 2 flagellants more.
Now I've some good ranting to do. Army Painter Matte Varnish could have been named Army Waster Matte Varnish indeed. A quick sight at the following pictures will suffice, and the grainy look isn't some undercoating problem. More deatails on this to follow.

Et la bande au complet parce que ce n'est pas tous les jours que peux prendre une photo d'un projet terminé !

Autre chose maintenant avec un wip d'un stormtrooper pour Ambush alley in Necromunda. Pour tout dire je ne suis pas complètement satisfait du rendu et changerai de méthode sur la deuxième figurine test. 

Je reviens sur le vernis mat Army Painter. Car il y a aussi du grain sur cette figurine. Si Katrina-Karlotta a été sous-couchée à la bombe blanche GW, cette figurine-ci l'a été au gesso acrylique noir et pré-ombrée à l'aérographe, donc sans possibilité de grain. Mais j'ai employé ce maudit vernis mat après avoir ombré la figurine avec des mélanges encre + médium mat, afin de donner plus d'accroche aux couches de peinture suivante. CQFD. Le vernis mat Testor's Dullcote semblant maintenant impossible à trouver en France, il ne me reste plus qu'à trouver une autre référence satisfaisante.

Another thing now with a stromtrooper's wip for "Ambush alley in Necromunda". To say the truth, I'm not fully satisfied with my painting and I'll try another process for the next miniature.

More about Army Painter Matte Varnish As ther's also some grain on this mini. If Katrina-Karlotta has been undercoated with GW white primer, I used black acrylic gesso for this stormtrooper, followed by an airbrushed pre-shading. Therefore, no possibility of grain. But... I used this bloody varnish following a coat of ink + matte medium, to give some grip for further highlighting. Which was the point of my demonstration. As Testor's Dullcote seems impossible to buy in france, I'll to find another satisfying reference. 

Pour finir, ma rubrique littéraire risque d'être succinte dans les semaines à venir, puisque j'ai entamé la lecture des 1001 nuits. Je me suis fait un petit plaisir en me procurant l'édition de la pleïade en 3 volumes.

Finally, my literary chronicle could well happen to shrink these next weeks as I began reading the 1001 nights or is it Tales of Arabian Nights for you english spoken readers. I made myself a little pleasure with the 3 tomes published by La Pleïade.
